Ravens turn to ex-Colts coach Caldwell to reinvigorate offense

Team lets go of offensive coordinator Cam Cameron.

Former Colts head coach Jim Caldwell will take over as offensive coordinator for the Baltimore Ravens.

The team announced Monday that it had let go of offensive coordinator Cam Cameron after the Ravens struggled on offense. Baltimore hired Caldwell as quarterbacks coach after the Colts fired him in the wake of a 2-14 season in 2011.

The Ravens scored 21 points in the first half against the Washington Redskins Sunday afternoon before sputtering in the second half. The team lost in overtime.

The Ravens host Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos next week.
