Storm Team 12: Cold front but still warm

This week looks warm for early December even though two cold fronts will be crossing Kansas in the coming days.

Overnight lows will dip into the mid 30s west, but should stay closer to 50 in the Wichita area. Expect some higher level clouds to move through the area with south winds continuing statewide.

The first cold front of the week will move in Monday, changing the winds to the north. Partly to mostly cloudy skies will be common over the area with gusty north winds in the west. Highs will be in the mid 60s west, to upper 60s in southcentral Kansas.

Temperatures will be just slightly cooler Tuesday with lighter winds and mostly sunny skies. Highs will be near 60.

Another cold front is coming in Thursday, which will set us up for some colder weather heading into our second weekend of December.
