Memorial work

Winchester Public Works employees, from left, Doug Hopper, Jerry Brinegar and Lee White, remove sections of a tree they cut down to make room for the Clark County Veterans Memorial. The memorial will be built at the Kentucky Bank park at the intersection of Lexington Avenue and Maple Street. The memorial will honor Clark County's 82 World War II and 19 Korean War servicemen killed in action. Currently, brick pavers are being sold to help fund the construction.
