I was at school on the Friday that the ice storm first hit. I remember being in my Communication Arts class when I got pass to go home from the office. My dad had to pick me up from school. We live by this really slanted road and it was iced completely. We went to pick up my little brother and then headed home. Apparently, the power had gone out around 9 that morning. We started a fire and began talking, playing games, and just messing around. We spent two nights without power before we decided to stay the night with my grandparents. We got their and we stayed about 2 hours before the power went out. We stayed there for 3 nights before we found out my mom's cousin had power. We went over there after a day or so. I love to hang out with younger kids and to my advantage my mom's cousin has two young kids. We played and did puppet shows. Luckily, they had power the whole time we were there. On Sunday our house got power back and we moved back over here. It only took 11 days for the power to come back, but I'm glad it did.
