Wild black bear

Sunday night (20 April) a lady hit a black bear on US 63 near Koshkonong, MO. Killed the bear, a cinnamon brown male black bear. Some damage to the front-end of her S-10 pickup truck; she was okay. Took 4 strong men to lift the bear into the game warden's truck. Local game warden was kind enough to let me take the pictures. Note - the southern Ozark forests still have dangerous wildlife.

Bears are not dangerous ....unless you threaten them or their cubs, and some times food. So if you leave them alone they will leave you alone.

The Ozarks are a great place to live. Those that live there, whether it be bear or human are quite lucky..
