My mom and I went exploring around our neighborhood, which includes both the Springfield Art Museum and Phelps Grove Park. After deftly manuevering across Bennett, we waded through the park, where water was up to the thighs of other flood observers. On our way back home an hour or so later, we saw that the "tide" left debris - sticks, empty soda bottles, a child's flip-flop shoe - about 5 feet into the lawns of Bennett residents.
