Location: Republic FR 178 and ZZ Hwy
This was the view from Republic FR 178 and ZZ Hwy, Looking north East to Springfield about 3:30 this afternoon. ( about the same time the reports were coming in about furniture Row being hit and Strafford) Just don't know exactly what I was looking at other than a big storm going across the sky...... shelf cloud? sm. tornado? hmmm.....
That was rite over by my house at FR 178 and ZZ
Was it a tornado
Could be a tornado. I live North of the powerplant. Could it have been Smoke from the plant?? Everytime theres a storm, & I look that way. It always freaks me out because the steam from the cooling tower or smoke stack looks just like a tornado
I know it was not smoke or steam from the power plant that is a bit more S.E. of where I was looking. I saw dark clouds and turned on the weather. They were reporting on the tornado. I came out to look again and it was there, then gone in a few min
possibly a tornadoe if you look at the top of where that cloud comes down u can see where that part is in the form of a cone . but it might not b a torndoe because it has other clouds around it and i have never seen that before....
