What is this stuff?

It looks kind of like the way that frog eggs attach to structure in the water. Some of these iunderwater are as big as a basketball. The ones pictured are slightly larger than softballs on average. It has a rubbery texture and lots of water squishes out when you squeeze it.

It looks like these things eventually dry out as the water continues to fall, and they get stuck above water level.

This picture was taken near Avery. And this stuff is everywhere.

I'd take the picture and your question to the local Conservation Office. Please post back to let us know what you found out.

My husband fishes Pomme all the time and he says they are either fish eggs or frog eggs. He also said they taste like chicken. J/K!
