Location: Southwest Missouri, Camdenton MO.

My name is Jacob Dines. I'm a 16 year old Junior at Camdenton High School in Missouri. My family relocated from Maui, Hawaii to Missouri having in mind the vast educational opportunities that awaits me. I have always maintained and I am a Straight A student and have been on on the Honor Roll every year. I have a GPA 4.0, Weighted GPA 4.517. I am currently at the top 7 of 346 in my class and based on Terra Nova Assessment I'm in the National Percentile above 90%. My academic strengths is in Math and Science. I would like to do more community service but my schedule is full. Helping others in need is a passion of mine and in the future I plan to use my education to protect the civilians of this great country! Being proud to be an American I am seeking a University that offers Aeronatical Engineering along with a Division One Football program that will give me the opportunity to achieve my goal in a degree in Aeronautical Engineering and I believe that I am able to be coached and have the ability to possibly play professional football.

I plan to use my Aeronautical Engineering Degree to join the Air Force or Navy as an Officer and become one of the few to fly the Joint Strike Fighter F22 Raptor; I have played football all my life and have continued to train both mind, body and soul using my experience also as a 2nd degree black belt in Taekwondo to excel as a football athlete and have been taught that without training no dreams come true. For this reason I study hard, train hard, perform hard and with hard work my dreams will come true, maybe not in the order that I mentioned, but certainly without failure.

Although there are many great Universities that I am looking into, I hope that a recruiter at a Division One School will see my potential and what I can achieve if given the chance to show it. I believe that Academics precedes Football but having both wouldn't be so bad either. I love the game and just enjoy being out there with the team that wants to excel above and beyond.

I have a great family that supports me and they continue to guide me and press me to move forward and give the best I possibly have to offer. My dad ever since I was 3 years old never babied me and as my catching ability grew he threw the ball harder and harder telling me that in order to be a great receiver you have to be able to catch bullets. "Brett Favre breaks fingers". My dad has practiced with me every year, brought me to camps and combines and is constantly teaching me the foundamentals of every aspect of the game. Some of the reasons why I make the hard catches is because my father made me believe through proper weight training and practicing horizontal and vertical jump, speed training and reminding me that on a pass the play is never dead until the ball hits the ground. He teaches me muscle memory and states, for example, at corner back, "make the play, then go get the ball". My mother has supported me by allowing me, although times are tough, to always have the best equipment and keeps me grounded by reminding me to "play hard but have fun, don't lose the spirit that motivates you to want to play football and to always embrace good sportsmanship", and Uncle Tim Manoa, formerly of the Browns, has echoed my father and trained me hard. I live by his motto "Train hard, train fast, nothing starts without a dream"!! As the top photo shows I am reaching for the stars!!

Thank you for your support and cheers!
