This huge tree on Robertson's farm fell in Tuesday night's ice storm, completely blocking Caney Creek Road in Brownbranch, far NE Taney County. Pictured is James standing against the root ball more than twice the span of his 6' height. The roots still hold a monstrous hunk of ledge rock. The mammoth tree took out a section of fence and completely splintered the guard rail posts on the opposite side of the road. Guess we know where the next few cords of stove wood for the farm will come from!
