It was the second night of the ice storm and things only got worse as mother nature waged war on the Arkansas Ozarks. All you could hear all through the night were the cracking and crashing of the forest. One can not help but imagine they are in the middle of a war zone as the cracks and crashes echo through the hollers and sound like weapons being discharged non stop for hours and hours. As the sun rose on Jan. 28th 2009 you could see that mother nature trully did wage war on the forest as all of the trees for as far as you could see were either partially or totally destroyed. Spring in the Ozarks will not be the same this year, but surely as it has done many times before, The Ozarks will rejuvinate and again be one of the most beautiful places on earth.
