Rural traffic came to a standstill Friday morning, May 8th, as Sugar Tree Creek came roaring over
Hwy K, five miles east of Buffalo after a torrential downpour. This is not a low water bridge and a couple of residents said they had not seen the creek flood over the roadway in all the time they have lived in the area.

My grandparents own land on that highway. It actually gets VERY high VERY often. That creek runs right through the woods and when it rains hard the banks wash out and little trees erode away, causing the bridge to clog and water to fill til it floods
