if you think that utility crews only do the dangerous job of climbing poles and hooking lines back up, think again. Ozark crews on the job immediately after the storms on Friday at 10th & Robinson, Ozark...and I had a front row seat. After putting up road blocks to stop traffic, the chain saws, shovels, axes and cutters are put to work to clear debris, remove the broken pole, pull the remaining pole out of the ground, auger the hole for the new pole, remove the clay/dirt from the auger, clear more brush and dirt, bring in and set new pole and THEN comes the anxious job of climbing the poles and hooking up and securing the huge powerlines. I was amazed & awed. The comradery between the workers was also inspiring. I really had no idea what these people go through to restore our power to us and believe me, I will never complain again when I lose power. I know there are crews like this out there performing amazing feats and working crazy hours to make my life easier. My hat is off to you guys. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
