I didn't know John or his family, but I just happened to see this photo with him and his granddaughter... it is truly beautiful and cherished, I'm sure. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family as they seek justice.

I am a very close friend of the families, and I am praying for them. I hope they can find strength in the lord. I also hope the man that did this will get the sentencing that he deserves.

hmmm....i think that he should have gotten more time for the crime!!!! come on ten years just is not enough! he should have gotten life in prison...or better yet been put on death row.

But like SH said being 82, 10 years is life to him. And he would of died before he ever got the needle. What was the reason for the shooting? Was there a feud between the two?

John was a good man. I enjoyed sitting in Lodge with him and talking with him through the years. His memory lives on with all of those who were blessed to have known him.
