This year was the first time I've been back to the Ozark Empire fair since I was in grade school. Walking through the carnival triggered memories of going with my family when I was younger. I remember riding the Scrambler with my mom, the Tilt-a-whirl with my dad, and the ferris wheel with my grandfather. My dad would always win my sisters and me prizes when playing all of the games. Of course our family had to buy cotton candy, caramel apples and funnel cakes to snack on, as we wandered around and admired all of the prize-winning produce, baked goods and art exhibits. I am thankful I went back to the fair to remember all of these memories, and I will be back every year from now on.
