WE HEARD THIS MORNING THAT A BRROM WILL STAND BY ITSELF. SOME SAY IT IS THE EQUINOX AND OR GRAVITATIONAL PULL. SOME SAY IT IS SPIRITS. CAN YOU TELL US WHY OUR BROOM AT THE OZARK COUNTY SENIOR CENTER IS STANDING ALONE

Anonymous is right. Gravity and the equinox have nothing to do with standing the broom up. If you tried, a broom can be balanced any day of the year. Same goes for an egg on its small end and anything else.
I have posted a list of comments on the posting "Planetary alignment allows a balance". My name on the comments is "noted scietest's opinion" because the comment before me had some spelling errors. I am a scientist and know about this.

Every straight broom will stand alone...has nothing to do with gravity or equinox.
