Location: Fair Play Missouri

Halloween for 14 year old Kiersten Snowden was different this year. She and her dad, Bryan Snowden, left Blue Eye at 4:30 in the morning headed to a small farm near Fair Play, Missouri, in hopes of killing a deer. With no action that morning they went into town to grab a bite to eat and rethink their strategy. With some tips from the land owner, they made their way to a new part of the farm. While walking to their new location Kiersten’s dad spotted a deer. They froze in their tracks and Keirsten tried to take a shot, but could not get a clear view of the deer. To their surprise, the deer bedded down. After watching and anxiously awaiting for an hour and a half, the deer made its final mistake by standing and giving Kiersten a 60 yard, broad side shot. The deer scored 147 1/8 inches and had a perfect 10 point rack with an inside spread of 19 inches. Kiersten had finally completed her 6 year quest to harvest a deer. She never imagined it would be the monster buck many dream of!

Thank you to Mr. Kevin for giving us a spot to hunt and a memory that will last a lifetime!

Good for you Keirsten!!!! I have been deer hunting for 27 years and have not got one that big. It is good to see young people getting out there and hunting more.

That's my girl Kiersten! Little brother Tanner took down an 8 point last year. One thing's for sure, we don't need to worry about the deer population with the Snowden children around. Here's to Dad Bryan for teaching them so well.
