Golden girl falters

Gabby Douglas, the gymnastics darling of the 2012 Summer Olympics, competed on her first event final Monday (Aug. 6) when the women took the floor for the uneven bars. Unfortunately, Gabby had a mistake on one rotation and had to add a skill to get facing the right way so she could transition to the low bar. Douglas may not have medaled anyway, however -- the routines put up were incredibly difficult and executed very well. Gabby can next been seen on the balance beam finals Tuesday.

-- Andrea Reiher, Zap2it
