CATCH-A-CROOK: Deputies search for chainsaw thief and burglars
The Greene County crimes total thousands of dollars in stolen items.

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) -
In this week’s Catch-a-Crook, doorbell video captures a thief in a home burglary near Willard. Captain Jeremy Lynn with the Greene County Sheriff’s Office says the man stole a chainsaw from a home in the 5000 block of West Farm Road 94 on June 10. The victim had gone to work.
After hearing about the theft, a neighbor checked their surveillance video and discovered a suspicious man at his door around the same time. He appears to have a small tattoo near his right eye and a large colorful tattoo on his right hand. Captain Lynn says the man’s mouth appears to be sunken, like he was few or no teeth. He could be driving a white Chevrolet Malibu or similar model with out of state plates.

Greene County detectives are also looking for information on three people caught on security video at a Springfield gas station. They used several stolen credit cards on June 24 at a Springfield Kum & Go and a Walgreen’s. The surveillance video shows two women and a man enter the convenience store with a small dog. Both women have tattoos on their legs. The man has a shaved head.

The victim reported someone had broken into her home north of the Springfield National Airport and stole a Macbook Pro, Macbook Air, Apple TV, gift cards, jewelry and power tools worth thousands of dollars. Investigators say it’s possible the thieves are driving a faded maroon Dodge Dakota with a camper shell.
