SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) - Bible sales have increased across the nation an the globe this year, Lifeway Christian Resources reports.

Local retailers say they’ve seen a jump in sales on par with the national trend.

CPO-Redeemed Books and More, located in Springfield at the corner of National and Republic Road, has seen an increase in bible sales this year, surpassing previous years.

Despite the pandemic causing closings during the shutdown, CPO-Redeemed has seen sales soar for many popular versions, including the New International Version Bible and the New Living Translation Bible.

“People have said, ‘You know I’ve just needed to get into God’s word more, had more time to think about it, and I just really need encouragement,’” said CPO-Redeemed General Manager Jonathan Betancourt.
