WEST PLAINS, Mo. (KY3) -The Ronald McDonald Mobile Dental unit, also known as the “Tooth Truck,” normally is based in Springfield, but for the first time ever, it’s been visiting schools in West Plains.

So far, almost 300 school children have received free dental care, including cleanings, fillings, crowns and other services. The Tooth Truck serves students from three to eighteen years old who might otherwise not be able to visit a dentist. Any child who qualifies for free or reduced school lunches is eligible for treatment.

Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Ozarks works with communities to raise funds for the program. To schedule an appointment on the Tooth Truck, check with your child’s school, or visit RMHCozarks.org. You can also make donations on the website.
