SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) - In our Leigh’s Lost and Found today, the search is on for a very unusual breed of dog, missing from Eminence, Missouri.

Hooch is a Bouvier de Flandres, a very distinctive breed of dog. And even more so, because Hooch had a pink mohawk when he went missing back in April. His owner is pretty sure, that someone has picked him up.

Hooch has been by his owner’s side during many good times.

Morgan Adams says, “I got him when he was 10 weeks old in 2016.”

And during the darkest times. In 2019, Hooch was on a boat with Morgan and her boyfriend Levi, when they crashed.

“I remember waking up and asking, where’s Levi, where’s Levi and they didn’t tell me he was dead for a few days. And then Hooch was missing, and it was just rough.”

Hooch was found a few days later back then and helped Morgan through her tough recovery. But this past April 19th, he got out the door of Morgan’s home in Eminence and took off.

“He took off chasing some Beagles and we haven’t seen him since. There’s just been no sign of him, we’ve walked like 20 miles of fence line and the wooded area.”

Morgan has plastered fliers all over town and on social media. She finds it odd that she hasn’t received one credible sighting of her very unusual looking best friend.

“We’ve had a lot of local dogs that people ended up finding in Illinois, St Louis, because tourists will come down and see a dog and say, I want to take that one home with me. And I’m really hoping that something like that has happened and I do get him back.”

After losing so much already, Morgan says she can’t bear to lose Hooch too.

“I can’t work, I can’t do anything without thinking about different scenarios and where he could be and what he could be going through. At this point, I just want him back.”

Morgan is offering a $1000 reward to get Hooch back. If you have any information, you can contact her at 417-763-5200. You can also send any tips to the Leigh’s Lost and Found facebook page at the link below.
