Nikki Ogle joined the KY3/KSPR newsroom as a multimedia journalist in June 2019, but she was not entirely new to the KYTV family. Nikki spent a summer as the On Your Side intern, helping find and research stories that affect your wallet. That's when she realized KY3 really is "the place to be."
Nikki was born and raised in the Ozarks. She grew up in Ash Grove. She has covered stories from small towns like her own to the state capitol, on topics like domestic violence, sexual assault, prison understaffing, murder cases, mental health and the opioid epidemic.
Nikki spent two years at Ozarks Technical Community College in Springfield before pursuing a degree in journalism at the University of Missouri. In Columbia, she worked for the university-owned NBC affiliate, KOMU, as a reporter and anchor.
When she's not chasing her next story, Nikki spends time outside, whether on her family's farm in Greene County or taking walks on Springfield trails with her dog, Cooper.
Nikki is grateful to be home- in the Ozarks and at KY3. She has watched and relied on KY3 News for her entire life, and feels blessed to now be a part of its newsroom.
She loves helping people tell their stories and is excited to for the chance to do so in southwest Missouri. Nikki's passion is asking powerful people tough questions and giving a voice to those who have been overlooked.
