Daniel Posey hails from the hometown of Ava, where he grew up as an apprentice for his parents' custom cabinet business, D.W. Woodcraft. He attended the University of Missouri School of Journalism, where he worked as a multimedia journalist for KBIA and KOMU, and studied abroad in London, working at the CBS London Bureau. After graduating, Posey worked in Washington D.C., Springfield, Missouri, and Tulsa, Oklahoma before his current role as Community Relations Director for KY3.
Posey is an award-winning writer, producer, and director for numerous PSAs and news and weather promos. You'll often find him working alongside area nonprofits for community events and campaigns. In addition to his community outreach, Posey is a strong advocate for local arts, working as a filmmaker in his spare time.
