Elizabeth VanMetre Anchors Ozarks Today Weekend Edition. You can also catch her reporting during the 4,5, and 6 pm shows Monday through Wednesday. She also investigates Missouri cold cases.

She joined the KY3 team in 2019 as an Alert Desk and morning reporter.

Before joining the KY3 she anchored a morning show in Casper, WY. and long investigative pieces for her station. Her piece about Forest Finn's buried treasure near Yellowstone National Park won her Wyoming's Broadcasting Award photography of the year.

While she has been a reporter her entire career, she started working in Entertainment in New York City. She was a reporter at InTouch Magazine and Entertainment Tonight. She also worked as the Entertainment Editor for the New York Daily News.

Elizabeth graduated with her master's from Columbia Journalism School where she was a Scripts Fellow. She focused on reporting on religion and spent time in her graduate program reporting stories from India. She's also reported from Lebanon and Syria on women's health in the Middle East.

Though she's lived all over she grew up in North Carolina.

When she's not at work Elizabeth can be found hanging out with her two dogs Jack and Mollie and her husband Brady. She enjoys running and Pilates as well. Her favorite thing about Springfield is all of the amazing small businesses. Shopping local is very important to her.
