Michael joined KY3 in May of 2020 after graduating from the University of Missouri where he studied news reporting and anchoring at the Missouri School of Journalism.

Although he has spent the last several years living in the Show-Me State, he is originally from Cincinnati, Ohio. He is excited to make the transition from one Queen City to the next.

Prior to joining KY3, Michael spent time working and interning in various newsrooms across the country. Most recently, he worked as a reporter and weekend anchor at the mid-Missouri NBC affiliate KOMU 8 News in Columbia. During his time at KOMU, Michael covered a wide range of local political, business and crime related issues. He also had the opportunity to report on a Bernie Sanders campaign rally in St. Louis as a part of KOMU's primary election coverage.

Michael also spent time in New York City in 2019 as an intern at Fox Business Network where he wrote articles published on FOXBusiness.com and Foxnews.com. During this time Michael had the opportunity to cover national and international stories as well as learn what it is like to live in the Big Apple.

He also spent time interning at his hometown CBS affiliate station WKRC Local 12 News where he learned the ropes of reporting and producing from several of his hometown idols.

When Michael is not reporting or looking for his next story, he enjoys his time by learning new songs to play on his electric and acoustic guitars. Michael is an avid concert-goer and music lover. He also enjoys filling his time listening to an array of rock music ranging from classic rock to modern hits. Some of his favorite bands include Pink Floyd, U2, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Foo Fighters.

Michael is very excited to be in Springfield working at KY3 and learning much more about life in the Ozarks.
