Michael Gibson

Michael Gibson is co-anchor and producer of KY3’s, lifestyle and entertainment show, The Place, which airs weekdays at 11:30am on KY3 and 5:30pm on The Ozarks CW.

Growing up in the Ozarks, Michael loved exploring the area’s beauty with his family, and meeting the people that make up the place he calls home. Especially in his hometown of Branson.

Michael got his start at KY3 while still attending Evangel University as the On Your Side intern, working with reporter Ashley Reynolds to research and uncover scams that protect viewers wallets. Then, going from intern to host, Michael coupled his love for food and telling peoples stories to create the popular restaurant reviewal segment, “Ozarks Big Bite” which aired on Saturday mornings on KY3. The segment earned him an Emmy Award for best host.

Michael is also a published author. Releasing his first book called Real Life Love in 2019. The book details his relationship with his grandfather, Gary Smalley-- also a popular television personality who wrote over 60 best-selling books on marriage and family. The book shares all Michael gleaned from his grandfather on building healthy relationships.

Outside of the studio, Michael enjoys a round of golf with friends, traveling with his family, and being outdoors in the beauty of the Ozarks.
