Many people talk about shoulder soreness or pain. You can prevent problems in your rotator cuff and shoulders by strengthening the muscles surrounding that area. Here are 3 ways exercises to protect your shoulders from damage (It's always best to visit your doctor first before trying any new exercise regimen).
Rotator Cuff and Shoulder Health
Exercise 1- Banded external rotations: This exercise is going to help strengthen the rotator cuff and increase shoulder mobility (see video for examples on how to do these exercises).
Exercise 2- Banded internal rotations: This exercise will also help strengthen the rotator cuff and help keep it stable.
Exercise 3- Shoulder Press: This exercise is going to strengthen the shoulders and help prevent injuries. It is also a compound movement so there are many muscles involved in doing this exercise. Using an exercise ball or standing while doing this exercise will also help strengthen one's core.
