Branson's fire chief rules mountain coaster can reopen after cars collided Thursday night
Branson Fire Chief Ted Martin says three people were taken to the emergency room with minor injuries after a collision on a Branson roller coaster Thursday night. They were not admitted to the hospital.
Two cars collided on the track of the Branson Runaway Mountain Coaster off of Highway 165. The operators pulled the cars from the tracks. The attraction was closed to the public for a private event at the time of the accident.
The Branson fire department has done its investigation and has determined it is safe to reopen based on the testing the fire department did and the safety procedures the company has done.
The attraction will reopen Friday at 6 p.m.
