CROCKER, Mo. (KY3) - A man from Dallas County is jailed in lieu of a $1 million bond on child molestation charges.

Dustin Richardson, 27, is charged with first-degree child molestation after Crocker police arrested him for attacks on a girl in elementary school.

Police Chief Chris Twitchel says the case came to light during the investigation of an unrelated burglary. Officers learned the person who reported the abuse was a family member of the victim.

During the investigation, detectives learned Richardson molested the victim several times in Camden County, Pulaski County and Crocker.

Twitchel said Richardson was on probation for a drug charge before his arrest.
