94-year-old woman gets "Second Wind Dreams" motorcycle ride in northern Arkansas

MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. - Dora Uelmen, 94, was taken around Mountain Home by dozens of motorcyclists and a police escort.

The activities director with Elmcroft Assisted Living arranged the event and surprised Uelmen with her "Second Wind Dream."

The Second Wind Dreams organization is like Make A Wish, but for senior citizens who wouldn't be able to do something they dreamed of doing or used to do.

Marsha Hudson, the activities director at Elmcroft Assisted Living, said, "Who used to ride motorcycles with her husband. They used to ride the Harley all over the area. Take vacations on the Harleys all over the country. And so she would not be able to ride the Harley again if we didn't work this out. This is our big Second Wind Dream activity. For her."

Dora Uelmen said, "It's awesome and I just can't believe what all happened to me. They picked me up and before you know it I'm on the highway."

The activities director with Elmcroft said they try to do a "Second Wind Dream" every month.
