TASTE OF THE OZARKS: Apple Cranberry Pecan Slaw

Apple cranberry pecan slaw

1 large apple cut into quarters and Finley sliced
1/3 cup dried cranberries
1/3 cup toasted pecans
1 bag shredded coleslaw mix
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1 tablespoon local honey
2 teaspoons celery seed
1 teaspoon garlic salt
3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
2 tablespoons of sugar
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 cups cold water

In a bowl put the water lemon juice and apple slices and let sit for five minutes. Whisk together the mayonnaise, honey, celery seed, garlic salt, vinegar and sugar. In a bowl toss together the coleslaw pecans cranberries. Drain the apples and toss in with coleslaw mixture. 5 to 10 minutes before serving mix the coleslaw with the dressing. Recipe serves six.
