Area events in the Ozarks this weekend

From fun Halloween themed festivals to an up close encounter Captain Kirk, this weekend offers all kinds of good times.

Star trek actor William Shatner is coming to town for one night only, in his one man show, William Shatner, Shatner's World.

He says it's a very personal show with all kinds of stories guaranteed to make you laugh.

It's not Halloween yet but the kids will be hunting for candy this weekend and they'll find it at the Discovery Center in Downtown Springfield at their fantastic party.

The Ozark Festival Orchestra will open its 38th season with a "Salute to America" concert. It starts at at 3 p.m. on Sunday, at the Monett High School Performing Arts Center.
