Berryville Middle School student placed in juvenile custody after threats on social media
A middle school student is now in juvenile custody after they made social media threats.
The Superintendent, of the Berryville School District, is updating families on social media to keep them informed on what happened.
On Thursday, Feb. 15, 2018, a Middle School student made threats on social media. When school officials found out about the situation, the student was taken into juvenile custody. The student did not have possession of any weapons and at no time were the students or staff in harm’s way.
The Superintendent said the safety of its students and staff is its number one priority each day.
The Berryville School District is asking everyone be aware and diligent in observing conversations among the students and make to make sure school officials are aware of any possible threats.
