CAPTURED: 2 wanted for murder in central Missouri jailed in northern Florida

MADISON COUNTY, Fla. -- The Madison County, Fla. Sheriff's Office captured two wanted from central Missouri for murder.

Brooke Buddemeyer and Aaron "Foozball" Lewis face second-degree murder in the death of Jessie Robbins in Bland, Missouri, on November 25th. Authorities had thought the two were in the Rolla, Mo. area.

Madison County is along the Florida-Georgia line.

Investigators say a tip led them to a road where the two were in a stolen Nissan. When the deputy learned the tags had expired, he approached the SUV. Investigators say Lewis started the car and took off at a high-rate of speed. They say speeds in the pursuit topped 100 miles-per-hour. Deputies deployed spike strips to stop the car. Deputies then arrested them without incident.

“I would like to personally thank the citizen that called the sheriff’s office and alerted us to this vehicle," said Major David Harper. "I am extremely proud of our deputies and the officers of the Madison Police Department. Through a coordinated effort, two individuals wanted for murder in another state were arrested and taken off the streets in Madison County."

The two remain jailed now in Madison County, Fla.
