GREENE COUNTY, Mo.-- In this week's Catch-a-Crook the Greene County sheriff wants your help finding a man who caused more than $1,000 in damage at the jail. Security video shows Kyle Calhoun scratching the camera lens with a small screw. Sheriff Arnott says as a result of Calhoun's actions, the camera system needed expensive repairs.
The surveillance video shows Calhoun scratching the camera lens for several minutes in August last year. He didn't show up for his following court appearance, and is now wanted on a felony charge of property damage. If you know where Calhoun is hiding call the Greene County Sheriff's Office.
Our next video shows a woman we just profiled last week, caught on camera at the Kohl's in Springfield, Mo. Sheriff Arnott says she's suspected in some home burglaries and tried to use a stolen credit card to buy clothing, shoes and several more items on July 24, 2019. Investigators say the same woman tried to cash a fraudulent check hours earlier at the BankCorp South on Campbell Avenue in Springfield. Arnott says the check had been stolen from a home in the 4000 block of S. Hidden Tree Lane in the Battlefield area. The thief also stole the victims' prescription medication, several pieces of jewelry including a gold wedding band set, a diamond ring, a pistol, laptop, credit card and checkbook.
The Kohl's surveillance video from July 24, 2019 shows the woman with a younger, Black man. When the cashier says the credit card is declined. The woman and man leave the store together and are shown on parking lot cameras walking away together. Arnott says the woman and her accomplice are wanted for questioning in several crimes.
