Celebrate the 'Mother Road' at new exhibit inside Springfield History Museum

You can see a new exhibit at the Springfield History Museum that celebrates Route 66.

"Memories of the Mother Road' opened Monday. The exhibit features photographs and memorabilia, videos outlining the history of the highway, as well as a music video about the iconic hamburger stand, Red's. Museum Director John Sellars says it's important to help people remember how Route 66 shaped Springfield.

The museum is open Monday through Saturday, 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
