The city of Ozark, Mo. will keep its large cross lit Tuesday night in the Finley River Park, despite a religious complaint from a Wisconsin group.

The cross has been a sight to see year-round for nearly two decades. A drive-thru Christmas light display surrounds it through the holidays. The Finley River Park is leased by the city from a private company.

A group out of Wisconsin known as Freedom from Religion Foundation filed a complaint with the city through a letter. The group has asked other governmental agencies across the country to remove religious symbols too, including Nativity scenes. The group pushes the separation of church and state.

The city first said it would unplug the cross Tuesday and remove it. It now says it is re-evaluating its options. We will keep you updated.
