Community Focus Report released Thursday at the Springfield Art Museum

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3/KSPR) - The Junior League of Springfield will host the ninth release of the Community Focus Report at the Springfield Art Museum Thursday, October 10, outlining those areas that the Springfield community has improved upon and those still needing attention.

The Community Focus Report is compiled every other year where committees collect data on issues that rise to the top of concern. They submit their findings to the main steering committee who reviews, offers feedback and assesses common themes to compile “blue ribbons,” or improvements to our community, and “red flags,” or detriments to our community.

The report is a result of a collaboration between the Junior League of Springfield, Community Foundation of the Ozarks, The Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce, the Springfield Greene County Library District, and United Way of the Ozarks. The report is used by the government, nonprofit and business community to make informed decisions on program implementation, grant initiatives, collaboration opportunities and more.

Copies of the report will be handed out at the release event and will be available online at springfieldcommunityfocus.org. The event is free and open to the public, but seating is limited. Those interested can RSVP by following the link attached with this story. Doors open for the event at 8:30 a.m. The program will start at 9:30 a.m.
