SILVER DOLLAR CITY Silver Dollar City reached a milestone in its construction of the new 'Time Traveler.'

Construction crews celebrated the placing the final piece of track for the new amusement Tuesday. The ride is set to open next spring. Silver Dollar City calls it the biggest attraction and investment ever at $26 million.

It promises a something never seen before anywhere, custom designed for the mountainous terrain of the Ozarks! It will be the fastest, steepest and tallest spinning roller coaster in the world. It has three inversions total. It also includes a 95-foot tall roll, and an acceleration from 30 mph to 45 mph in 3.5 seconds. The ride goes up to 50 miles per hour. Its tallest point is 100 feet.

The largest coaster club in America, American Coaster Enthusiasts, will hold its spring convention at Silver Dollar City for the opening of this new attraction.
