Deputies find man dead after short standoff near El Dorado Springs, Mo.

A short standoff turned deadly in St. Clair County, Mo. late Tuesday night.
Deputies responded to a home around 11:40 p.m. off SW 600 Road near El Dorado Springs.
Investigators say the Mark Harris, 42, shot at the officers with a shotgun once they arrived at the home. One shot hit a deputy in the finger. Investigators say the shots also hit two patrol cars.
Deputies quickly escorted two women from the home. Then they set up a perimeter. After hearing additional gunshots inside the home, deputies discovered Harris dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
