Family impacted by government shutdown wins lottery

VIRGINIA -- The partial government shutdown has lost its hold on one family in Virginia.

Carrie Walls won Virginia's Lottery. She had the winning numbers for a Ford Expedition and $100,000.00.

Her husband is on furlough due to the shutdown, and they say the money came at a good time. She collected her prize on Friday and plans to use some of her victory cash to take the family to Disney World.
