Crews with the National Forest Service are battling a 300 acre fire in the Mark Twain National Forest in eastern Taney County.

A fire management officer says the "Blair Cemetery" fire started Monday near Rueter. No word yet on what sparked it. The National Forest Service office in Rolla reports this is the ninth fire in their district in the last 24 hours.

A Red Flag Warning has been issued for much of southwest Missouri as dry conditions continue.
