Firefighters battle house fire in northwest Springfield

Fire crews are investigating the cause of this fire that torched an abandoned house in northwest Springfield.

Firefighters responded to the 1500 block of West Olive just before 7 p.m. for reports of heavy smoke billowing from the home. Crews say the house was used for storage.

No word yet on what started the fire. Officials believe it started in the attic.
