Firefighters identify man killed in house fire near Buffalo, Mo.

The Dallas County Sheriff's Office is investigating a deadly fire.

Firefighters responded to the home Monday night, near Buffalo, Mo.

Firefighters found the body of Hulet Wood, 58. He lived at the home alone. His father lived on the same property. Investigators believe he likely died of smoke inhalation.

Firefighters do not know what started the fire. They say the hottest part of the fire was inside a bedroom.
