Greene County's public administrator resigns from office Monday

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Greene County's Public Administrator Monday morning announced her resignation.

Lee Ann Walker submitted her letter to the Greene County Commission at a meeting. We do not know a reason why she is leaving office.

The probate division of circuit court appoints the public administrator. The officeholder serves largely as guardians and conservators for the mentally disabled and acts as a personal representative in deceased and minor estates. The office handles hundreds of disabled clients, probate cases and trusts.
