A brave and engaging 8-year-old leukemia victim passed away on Wednesday. Draven Pritchet’s honorary brothers and sisters in blue at the Winona Police Department paid tribute to him in the same way that they honor other fallen officers.
We first brought you the story of Draven in June 2016. His dream was to become a police officer. With the help of the Winona Police Department, Draven didn't have to wait. He was sworn in as an honorary officer and immediately got to put handcuffs on his father.
After he lost his brave battle with leukemia, in keeping with tradition of the police department when an officer is lost, Police Chief Alonzo Bradwell put out Draven's “end of watch” call.
