Westbound lanes of I-44 at Kearney Street open again

Modot reopened the westbound lanes of I-44 over Kearney Street just before 8:30 Friday morning.
The highway was closed after a crash between a car and a
tractor-trailer. The truck burst into flames. Fuel also spilled onto the highway.
It took crews more than seven hours to clean up the mess.
Kearney Street under I-44 was also closed because water from fire hoses spilled onto Kearney. The road was shutdown through morning rush hour.
Springfield police say no one was hurt in the crash.
