Hour-long chase through Springfield neighborhoods ends in arrest

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3/KSPR) - Police arrested the driver of a stolen pickup truck after a chase that lasted nearly one hour Friday morning. Police tried to pull over the driver around 3:00 a.m. after rolling into the roadway near Sunshine and National.

The pickup hit a car with a driver and three passengers at Glenstone and Blaine. Two people in that car were taken to the hospital, they are expected to be okay. Police did arrest one person in the car for drugs.

The chase continued for a short time. The pickup finally stalled in a neighborhood at Walnut and Homewood, police arrested the driver there. Police found he was impaired.

The pickup was towed away and the intersection is cleared for the morning commute.
