If you're not celebrating Valentine's Day this year because you're looking for a sweetheart, this Live, Life, Well segment is for you.
Many people call February the month of love. But, before you can find your true love, you need to know yourself.
Dr. Jennifer Baker of Good Dads suggests you start with finding a good match. If you want kids, don't keep dating someone who doesn't want children.
Also, pay attention to values. If you value going to church, find someone who also enjoys belonging to a church.
Dr. Jennifer Baker told us, "I would say nothing matters more to your health and well-being. Think about your future, your job... all of that... than the person you decide to do life with.. if you choose the wrong person. It can mess up everything."
Also watch out for someone who says something like this after a disagreement; "I don't want to talk about it." They're not right for you. You want to be with a good communicator.
One more note, avoid anyone who plays games.
Many of these ideas are based on a book called, Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts. We put a link to the book on the right hand side of this page.
You can also check out Dr. Baker's podcasts. She's focused on romance this month. A link to her Good Dads page is also on the side of this page.
